Kenya

I have been quite worried about the situation in Kenya as one of my ex-colleagues is from there. I'm so happy Jackie replied to me, just today, as follows:

"We actually spent xmas home and all of us - my brother, his wife, baby and myself went home. We arrived back in Dublin yesterday night.Kenya was indeed having the violence which was a worry for all, but the violence was concentrated only in various parts of the country and within towns.

Our family kept indoors during the violence and no one went to work or out, so no one was harmed. All are well. The situation is now ok and everything has resumed normality of course with the exception of the protests which the government is trying to control, but all is well."

Good news from Jackie, not too good regarding the (various) news.
